Thanks, Sushiboy. Could you make that Diet Coke? I can't have sugar anymore. :)
I'm not mad at anyone, just generally cranky. We in the NE were all locked inside for weeks due to snow and ice, I broke a molar on a hard-as-a-rock carrot stick, I tripped over Johnny and hurt my back (he's fine), AND I can no longer have sugar due to borderline diabetes so my diet is now boring and horrid. Shall I go on? I'll spare you.
I promise to be nice again tomorrow. Don't be afraid ... too much. lol
I sort of feel your pain, Zed. My aunt is diabetic, now, due to weight. she is pretty restrictive with what she can eat, etc. but there are lots of sugar free stuff on the market and how about getting some good food tips online?
I'll send you a case of water, that has no sugar or calories. But I know it's pretty boring, sorry. If it helps, I drink tons of water since my other addiction is iced tea which gives me kidney stones. you can't win!
I'm feeling way better today. I spent forever at the supermarket, buying all sorts of low-carb or zero-carb things I can actually eat; did this after searching the internet for recipes and food lists.
The good news is, I've lost almost 15 lbs. in 3 weeks--so that's a wonderful side benefit. I know someone who lost 25 lbs. in the first week and a half!
One book I read said they suggest having a bit of a "bad" day or two on weekends. So this weekend I made home-made tapioca pudding with meringue mixed through. (See the Minute Tapioca box.) Oh, my, it was satisfying, made me feel as if I could be bad, and I went right back on plan Monday. There's a lot of sugar in the pudding so I cut back dramatically but the stuff still tasted great.
Thanks for the offer of water. It's sooooo boring. I may go buy flavored Seltzer tomorrow to see how that goes.

Sushiboy leaves a 12-pack of coke on the doorstep before slowly backing away.
