Do-do-do-do, do-do-do-do

Reporting in January 6, 2007:

1. The cockatoo lady has returned from vacation and said I did such a great job taking care of her pet that she's not going to charge me for the broken vase. She changed her mind. Whew!

2. There's something dripping in the corner behind my bed's headboard in the bedroom. I kept hearing it all night, but whenever I got up to find the source, it seemed to get less loud. Never found it. Do-do-do-do, do-do-do-do. :) Finding it is my mission today.

3. I'm thinking of redesigning my site to add a photograph in the header and color all around, but I am afraid to use Blogger's new templates--the ones that Blogger itself says will make you lose everything you had previously. (Not that what I have is so great, but at least it works.) Anyone switch to the new templates yet?

I'm off to find the drip source! See you later!

I guess I switched... I haven't had any problems.

By the way, I created my mad lib on my blog!

Thanks Teri. I'm terrified to do it, but it might happen this week because I'm completely bored with what I have.

Amy, I'll go check out the mad lib!

Oh, BTW, I haven't found the source of the dripping because it wasn't doing it this afternoon. I'm sure it will happen again in the middle of the night. Grrr.

oh... when I did my latest switch, I did lose some code, so just back up what you have first, then switch, then put the code back where you want it.

We have dripping too, but we know we have to get the eaves cleaned out. I don't hear it so much but my husband does and it makes him crazy.

I'm using one of the new templates (I think?) but I didn't have anything fancy on my other one. I shouldn't be volunteering people, but Sans is my hero, as he's helped me with some stuff before.

Thanks, Amy! I'm working on getting enough courage to do it. Maybe later this week--maybe not. No guts. :)

Tanya, I never ask Andy because so many people go to him for help or ask him to design something for them.

I think I'll do the backup of the HTML as Amy suggested and then give it a try. I'm such a chicken! If I make a big mess, I'll write Andy (shamelessly).

Glad to hear you don't have to pay for the vase :)

Copy all your code into Word and save it. So it you screw up, you can always paste the code back and carry on. That's what I do.

Teena, when you save it, do you save it as plain text or in Word format?

Eeek, I didn't know everyone asked Sans for stuff! I feel like a creep now. One time I had posted on my blog a request for help, and he came along and was so great. And then I asked him for another thing this week...I try not to be too greedy - I guess I could learn more stuff, too.

Its me hiding in your apartment with a bowl and cup making drippy noises. Hahaha. I bet you would never have found me but I decided to come clean.

There are new weird noises around my house, ever since my dad died. DO do do do do do do

Well, cockatoo to you too, Anne! And many more! :)

Mel, I wouldn't have ever guessed it was you. Well, knock it off, it's making me nuts! :) The noise isn't heard in the daytime, only at night, and I can't find the source. Next step, the maintenance crew, but I'm afraid they're going to start tearing apart the wall. Oh dear--I better find the source tonight or it's demo tomorrow.

And may I add: do do do do, do do do do.

I think so too, Shelli. It's like Inner Sanctum around here lately. It's all a plot! haha! Wait, do I sound paranoid?

Tanya,
Don't feel badly. I'm sorry I said anything--I'm not even sure. But I know I've heard from folks by email who have all said they asked Sans for help at various times. So, for me, and just for me, I think I'll try and do my own stuff.

But please don't let me influence you in any way. Ask him whatever you need to, Tanya... and then tell me what he said because I sure need help. :) Did you see how I made a major change to my blog tonight? Go up to the post "So, Do You See a Difference?" or whatever I called it.

Yes, Zed, not to worry, I'll share my vast knowledge with you. After I completely pick SP's brain clean.
