The Doors Are Slamming ... For What I Don't Know

It seems as if residents in several apartments on my floor are engaged in angry door slamming at one another. The guy across the hall from me slammed his door when he came home at 3:15 am this morning (lovely...) and other neighbors are angry over laundry room usage. Two nights ago something happened concerning the laundry room that caused lots of anger, door slams, yelling, more door slams, and then later MORE door slams. Over laundry. Okay then. Tonight, someone came home at 10:00 and slammed their door with all their might. Is this Inner Sanctum (ah, that's a very old movie!!)? Tell me the truth: It is, isn't it?

First question: Can I come live with one of you for a while, at least until my neighbors all settle down? I don't slam doors and I sit in front of my computer quietly day and night lately. I could NOT be more boring. I'm the perfect guest.

Second question: ARE YOUR NEIGHBORS WELL-BEHAVED? Spill the beans.

you can come stay with me, I have a spare bedroom but "my neighbors" are questionable.

the people who live on either side of me are good, it's the young adults that creep into the area at night because I guess it's a great place to party, that bother me.

It's relatively quiet though, no door slamming.

Ever since the White Trash neighbors moved out it's nice and quiet in my neighborhood. I have no extra space though, sorry.

Teri I would totally freak have kids creep into the area at night. Aren't you moving soon? Did you find something?

Nobody, that's okay that you don't have room--how about the shed?

I hate to bring this up, but I know someone who's been trying to sell her home for 1.5 years--it is indeed a very slow market.

you should go out into the hallway on the next door slam and start yelling that everyone stop slamming doors. then go back into your apartment and slam the door on the way in. that'll show 'em. haha

oh im probably giving you bad advise. how about you put up a sign somewhere or tell building management? i can't believe people are acting so stupidly there. this is why we like living in our own home. it can sometimes have its advantages sometimes.

My old neighbors were great. I don't konw the new ones too well yet.

The one I know is nice, but a bit strange. She is an 80 year old lady with an old school bus that has been converted to a motor home sitting in her back yard. We are going to plant some more trees on that side of the yard :).

Our house wouldn't be much better, than the door slamming. Our little ones will not to go to bed quietly.

I cant wait to get home myself.

You can hear the crickets fart.

And we don't even have crickets!

Yes, you can stay with me. Do you clean? I need help organizing my house. I am not very good at it. I think that your neighbors need chill pills. Can you, in any way, slip them in their coffee?

Most of my neighbors are well behaved. We were having trouble with the family next door, but since their son got shipped up the river for 10-15 years, it's been pretty quiet.

You may all breathe a sigh of relief to know that it has stopped. 24 hours without a slam. But you all have shown great generosity of spirit. Thanks!

The school bus as motor home concept is cool, but I can understand why you might want put in trees, Sushiboy. :)

And Mel? I had no idea you had 8 dogs at home!! Oh, my... But they're so beautiful. I hope you get home safely this weekend, and that peace is soon restored to you. Did I send a hug today? {{{Mel}}}

Amy, "pretends visiting" works for me... but I don't have to wear those silly diapers when we play this game, do I? haha!

Mixednut, you know as well as I do that there are only 2 or 3 crickets in the entire tri-state area. They must be very loud farters. I had never seen a cricket before two weeks ago, and I freaked out when I saw it because I thought it was a roach! Scarey! :)

Shelli, they do need to calm down. Maybe I can put cups of coffee in the laundry room laced with "Rescue Remedy" (natural relaxant)--that'll calm them! Okay, so I'll be over later to clean and organize then... and after THAT we can come back HERE to clean and organize my place. :)

Fancy Zed-- You're always welome here... but you should just move into your big beautiful house in Cul-de-Sac!

I'm sorry about your neighbors, well, then, I guess you wouldn't have it much different living next to Fab, now would you?

Zed-
Plenty of room here. All the snow muffles a lot of the noise. Like Mixednut, you can hear the crickets fart AND you can hear them say "Whoa! That was a GOOD one!"

If you don't mind two kitties and a dog, you can come stay here. Oh, btw, we don't have blinds on the spare room window because one of the kitties ate them.

Dale, er, thanks, uh, for the offer, but I think that, uhm, I'll be okay with the door slams after all. Uh, thanks.

Jen, sleeping bags are cool! May Frankie & Johnny come along to meet Travis and Jerry? You remember Jerry, right? haha!

Doctor Mom! I forgot my beautiful place in Cul-de-Sac (hitting myself upside the head)... In warmer weather Mr. Fab's snoring kept me awake when the windows were open, but now--windows closed--I think I'll move in there and enjoy my palace.

Chris!! You're back! Yea! Missed you! I've been missing from this blog due to a ton of work, but I'll pass by your blog very soon. Promise! Yea, you're back!

Teresa, a tent would be fine. You sound like you have enough going on there--don't worry, I've got tons of offers! :)

Mel, I hate flying too, but I'm glad you are back home safe and sound. Getting back to your regular routine is a good thing--even going to WORK is a good thing at this point, as hard as that is to believe. I'm stoppy by your blog later.

Teena, your kitty ate your blinds? How can that BE? Do you feed those cats food other than blind material?

Doctor Mom, I'm heading over there soon!
