Hair Spray in the Eye

I was in a huge rush yesterday in trying to get to the bank and post office before they closed.

As I reached into the cabinet WITHOUT LOOKING to take out make-up setting spray (which for my male readers really is just a mist of water to make fresh make-up stay on longer), I accidentally grabbed my hairspray. Again, not looking, but watching my cat Johnny play-fight with his sister Frankie, I took off the lid and sprayed my entire face with HAIR SPRAY. My eyes were open at the time--and the hairspray was the "strong hold" version.
DOES NOT EQUAL

Needless to say, I didn't make it to the bank and post office.

What dumb thing have you done in using the wrong product? And what were the results? Don't be shy. We KNOW you're dumb.

I answered the phone and said hello. The voice was soooo familiar that I said a name... the wrong name....

A completely innocent mistake. Sometimes we cannot be friends of people who hate each other.

I did once brush my teeth using my FRIENDS Preparation-H.
I lot of expectoration ensued.
It was OK though, probably nice with onions...

So how long were your eyes stuck open and were you satisfied with the hold? LOL

Stupid things ... hmmm there are so many to choose from but just sticking to the eye category I did once accidently squirt moisquito repellent in the eye. That hurt! But of course I did not get any mosquito bites in my eye that day either.

This one has happened a few times- I wear contacts and as you may know you soak your lenses in a cleaning solution when you aren't wearing them and then when you are ready to put them on you rinse them with a saline solution.

Uh the bottles look very similar so it's easy enough to make a mistake. There's been a few times when I grabbed the bottle of cleaning solution to rinse my lenses and then put a contact in my eye. That is the most painful eye related accident that i can think of. That stuff hurts like heck cause it starts like eating away at your eyeball on contact. Plus if you did make that mistake your eye takes forever to settle down and is irritated for hours so forget wearing contacts that day.

Oh I have an eyeball related post on my site right now - check it out. LOL

I have done the Terri thing with the contact lens cleaner too, that really hurts!!

I can probably top everyone on this though. I once drank straight chlorax beach thinking it was water.
I was a kid at the time. So many of you wonder how I got to be so warped, I think its the bleach.

Mel, that explains your attraction to laundry.

I love the examples!

I once brushed my teeth with moisturizer, gargled with shampoo, and sprayed my hair with fabric starch rather than hair spray.

I do indeed do dumb things. A little less often now, but still occasionally.

So Sans, how does Prep H taste? Good?

Ouch!!!!

You know "Heat" ointment? You rub it on your sore muscles? We have it in a roll-on. One morning I was rushing getting ready for work and I grabbed my roll-on deodorant. As soon as I finished putting it on, I realized it wasn't my deodorant! It was the Heat stuff. OUCH!!! Burning armpits is not a good way to start the day!!!!!

My kids used my toothbrush to mix a bunch of stuff in the bathroom sink once. I didn't know this until I brushed my teeth. Then I had to go to work and had that horrible taste in my mouth all day.

Teena, that sounds awful! Yeck!

Teresa, yes, I looked lovely! haha! Actually no...I ran to the sink and splashed sand splashed and splashed first warm water then cold water. Most of it came off, but I had to manually pick dried hairspray out of my eyelashes. Not fun!

Amy, some tastes take 24 hours to go away. It sounds like that was one of them. Another yeck!

Zed, I don't remember savouring the taste, but somthing similar to vaseline; or as a PH tasting party might report:

It has a black fruit aroma augmented by licorice & spice. Full on the palate, it's flavor mirrors a hint of violets with
bold blackberry fruit while mocha and vanilla assail the senses. There can be loads of berry fruit, bright acids and spicy oak all battling the cherry fruit and chocolate nuances for dominance. It's easy to mistake for toothpaste, but it is designed for elsewhere.

First of all, Teena sent me and I'm spreading a little blog comment cheer!

Hairspray in the face must REALLY set your makeup well!

I do things like that all of the time.
