Worst Jobs in the World

What would you consider one of the worst jobs in the world?

This question came up when I was heading to the nail salon and thought about the pedicurist who must handle feet all day long and those feet are held within inches of her face. Ugly feet, corned feet, smelly feet, dirty feet ... right under her nose--yuck! I nominate pedicurists as having one of the worst jobs in the world.

Another one would be fish mongers. They cut off the heads of fish, throw the fish around and get fish guts all over themselves. The mongers wind up smelling like dead, rotten fish, and no matter how much they wash or how much they try, that smell does not leave them. It's DISGUSTING, oh yes it is.

Who would you nominate as having the worst job in the world?
Put your answers in the comments section please.

i vote for the people in hospitals and hospice care who have to wash the sick and clean up their waste, vomit, etc. ... sorry ... i mean, their job is an admirable one, but i couldn't do it. no way. those people, especially hospice workers, amaze me. i just don't know how they do it.

I think the people Jen works with make it the worst job on the planet. Her job, per se, sounds like fun.

I have to agree with anyone that said anyone that has to deal with dead bodies and bodily function cleanup of any kind.

To me the worse job would be the person that has to euthansize unloved animals at an animal shelter. I know for a fact I could NOT do that.

I used to have an awful job but once the wicked witch of the west (aka boss from hell) left things are wonderful!

teri--yup. The "dead bodies and bodily function" thing has got to be the pits. Thank God there are people like them though. Someone's go to do it...

mel--I can't even go near an animal shelter anymore. It just breaks my heart and makes me mentally challenged for days. Terribly sad. And gets me completely angry.

I would think a *cleaner would have a really bad job.... they have to go in after the mafia has made a really big mess, and try to make it look spotless again.

That's got to be tough, especially on white carpeting.

Sloth, Jen. Sloth. :)

Doctor Mom, I used to know people who were hired by police departments or the families of murdered individuals, and this couple had to go into homes and clean up the mess of a murder.

Believe it or not, though they said their first few jobs were grusome and made them feel ill, after a short time they became rather immune to it all and just did what they had to do. They were paid a LOT of money to do that job, because no one else wanted to...
