Addictions

My top-ten current addictions include the following:

1. Coca-Cola (regular)

2. The Britney Spears fiasco (loss of children/downward spiral)

3. The Ellen DeGeneres Show

4. Sleeping late/staying up late

5. Home-made pasta

6. D-Listed.com

7. Sudoku (I can't stop! Even the advanced ones! Betty-Ford-Clinic addicted!)

8. Snuggling with Frankie & Johnny (my tuxedo cats)

9. Driving in my Toyota Scion with music blasting

10. My computer (I can't step away. Why can't I step away?!!)

If you've got addictions, what are they? I bet they're better more fascinating than mine. :)

I wouldn't be surprised if Britney kills herself one day, when reality sets in and she realizes her career is deader than 8-track tapes. But, then again, I guess that will give you something new to have fun with..

I don't think I can come up with 10 but:

1. Heavy bass beats on the Maximas' Bose sound system. I love the way it gives me arrhythmia when a strong base line comes in. I also like the looks I get when people see it's a 60 year old white guy rockin' the car.

2. Riflery - There is something about hitting a target dead on at ever increasing distances that gives me a great deal of satisfaction.

3. Technology - gotta have the latest gadget. Not all the time (I skipped the I-Phone) but a lot of the time.

4. Microwave popcorn - totally addicted. When they started talking about certain lung ailments associated with the fumes from popcorn, I was afraid I would have to go to rehab.

5. Reading blogs - I guess there is a certain amount of voyeurism in us all but I think I sometimes go overboard in living vicariously through other bloggers.

Dick, I think she's too selfish to kill herself. She's barely reacted to the fact that she's lost custody of her children. I can understand if you you lost custody of Peter--you sort of want that. But her lost of Sean P and Jayden is huge, and she doesn't seem to care.

And yes, if she does do herself in, I'll be fascinated by that too. I'll have to add it to my Addiction list.

Dave, I just love #1! You go man! :) And I'm with you on 3, 4, and 5. Now my list is up to 13! (Orville Redenbacker's is my fav microwave popcorn. Do you know of anything better? If so, let me know!)

1. Coca-Cola

2. Cherry Coke

3. Coca Cola (ok I've had my three for the day I think I can function now)

4. Blogging, Friendship with complete strangers with completely different lives in completely different places. Good stuff.

5. My i-Pod. See JD's #1 skinny white family man rocking out.

6. Programming computers. I've been doing it since High School now. Sometimes its boring, but I never tire of the problem sovling, its kinda like solving a sudoku puzzle.

7. Sushi, I guess these are in no particular order, cause I really dig sushi.

8. The Bus, I like riding the bus. I don't think I could go back driving myself to work and back. I get to do Homework, read novels, listen to the i-Pod and chill out on the bus. I feel much less high strung since riding. Plus its way better for greenhouse emissions.

9. Cooking. I never thought I'd like it. I guess I don't, I love it. Its a great way to do something nice for your friends.

10. Family. Hardly get to see them with my work and school schedule. I'm having symptoms of withdrawel.

Well, for your information, she most certainly has "reacted to the fact that she's lost custody of her children", she went shopping.
See, she's not so bad after all.

Zed, I'm with you on DListed. MK makes me crack up laughing at least once a day. His Britney posts are especially inspired.

I'm also really into cantaloupe lately.

I had to stop Soduko as it was giving me migraines. Scrabble does the same. I'm not used to thinking so hard I guess.

I'm addicted to the usual things: internet, crack, porn, murder and chocolate.

Jane, mmm Fluff! #14 on my list!

Coca-Cola--way to go Sushiboy! I just love it. I ran out about an hour ago and I'm going through Coke DTs. I haven't taken a bus for years; The only people who take buses near me are mostly people busted for DUI. :)

Dick, I know. How could I put her down like that? Shame on me. And instead of going to court today she got Shell gas and drove in circles around LA. She's doing everything she can to NOT get the kids back!

Tmollie, I like your responses (Yorkshire terriers, I wonder why... ha!), but where's the Fluff? Huh? Where? :)

So Dale, when I make that home-made manicotti next year I'll also send you a bottle of regular Coke. That work? :)

Chelene, I just love MK. He's got a wonderful sense of humor--cracks me up regularly. And cantaloupe? I love it. I just always forget to buy it.

Barbara, I don't get migraines, but I can understand that totally. Overuse of brain cells! Never a good idea! And if you're into murder, you'd like my cousin Rocky. I'll arrange a meeting.

I'm with you on #s 2,4 and 10...and would be on 9 if I had a car these days. Boy, I miss driving. Especially with the windows down and music blaring. Nothing better.

I swap out your Coke for iced tea. Mmmmmmmmmmm. I have a serious problem. Maybe I'll go to that celebrity day-camp/rehab.

Hello,
My name is Gifted, Gifted Typist, and I am a gum chewer.

I'm a binge gum chewer. I don't chew every day, but when I get a pack of gum, I chew the hole thing one piece at a time.

My family worries about me. They say I'm out of control. I've told them it's sugar free, but they said it's not that. It's the OCD behaviour. And it's true. I do lose control when I have a pack of gum.

Is there a Betty Ford clinic for people like me?

On popcorn, I have sacrificed quality for quantity as I but the case lots of Act III at Sam's Club. Not the Butter Lovers stuff though. I try to keep my cholesterol below 1,000 if possible.
