Name the Sport

I'm working on a sports book. I'm snoring. It's not about the greatest or most famous of sports, such as baseball, football, or basketball. No, it's about ANOTHER sport. Can you guess what it is?

The winner gets ... NOTHING. Because I'd have to get dressed, put on makeup, go down many floors to the parking garage, BUY the prize, drive to the post office and PAY to send whatever the prize is to you. Is your dumb one-word answer really worth all that aggravation? I say no.

What sport is the book about? Betcha can't guess.

No Sushiboy! haha!! One does (or many do) this outside usually, not in a gym. It's a SPORT! Think sport! One that you could win a medal or trophy for. Sheesh!

So the last comment was aimed more at humor, and so is this one. Cheerleading!

No, Sushiboy, wrong again. :) However, participants, like cheerleaders, have mostly bare legs. Now if that isn't a HINT, I don't know what is. You can do this, I'm counting on you Eric!

That sounds like Track shorts. I'm gonna say running, in particular, sprinting.

You win, Sushiboy! Yea! Yea!

It's about running marathons. I'm bored but I'm sure lots of people would be interested.

Congratulations! The prize I won't be giving you would probably be really nice. :)

Thanks for playing everyone!

What can I say, :) You'll give me what my win was worth :) Maybe I'll go make some sushi now, and treat myself to it.

Is it curling?

You know, just in case you are starting on a second sports book.

Mr. Fab, I'm so with you on that. Marathons, ugh. Running, ugh. Walking is GOOD.

Barbara, the next book, the one I'm working NOW, is a chemistry book. I have to keep slapping myself to stay awake.

and I thought your job was great cuz you get to read alot! I would not make it through a book about running. I never got the running fever, and was quite slow. Still am. Well I am slower :)

Unfortunately I have to take what's given to me and most of these books are pretty heavy duty textbooks. Every once in a while something interesting comes along, like a good psychology book (I have one of thoe next week, yea!), but mostly it's drudgery. Sadly a job is a job is a job. Waaa! :)

Ah, curling was my first guess.

I was just about to say "speed knitting" but then I saw that someone got the right answer.

2:12 AM
Blogger Zed said...

Haha, BeckEye! If I hadn't already known the answer, I would have guessed curling as well. Isn't it weird that after baseball, football, and basketball our first guess would have been curling? I don't even know what that IS!

The thing with speed knitting is, it doesn't fit into my description of the sport as one performed outside "with bare legs"--unless this is a new requirement for speed knitting that I'm unaware of.
