No, Teri, I wasn't adopted. But I was induced--and did I resent THAT for a while. :) My father had bright red hair as well, so proof positive I'm in the right blood line ...
Thanks, Lynda. It's a classic.
MixedNut, I'm so glad to see you here. I was worried where you'd gone.
Mel, she was really a knockout, and you know what, at 88 she's still looking pretty darn good.
Thanks for the hug, Mel (sending one back to you). I really appreciate it. I miss her more than I'd ever imagined.
Thanks for thinking of me, Tmollie. As you know, three years ago August was an extremely tough month for me. I never thought I'd make it through the pain of watching someone I love die. But there is grace, and I received tons of it to handle it all, for which I'm most appreciative.
Again, I thank you for your kind thoughts and I hope all is well with you.
Zed yes I remember what a tough time you had. She had so much love for you & she left something for all of us. I learned quite a bit from her about grace.
Your Mom is a special lady too & beautiful still I am sure. We all sure get a laugh from your posts when she visits.
Is it an inborn thing with Moms to be that way. If so I can't wait to see what my daughters think, lol. I can see me having loads of fun, oh yeah :)
Tmollie, I do believe it is inborn. And no matter how hard you try to fight against it, you'll do all the same things when you get old and gray. It's your job. :)
Whenever I see a shot like that it always makes me wonder what was happening that day and what possessed everyone to pose for a family picture? It's a sliver in time captured forever. And yes, your mother has good bones.
It's probably a good idea to hang it up on your fridge so when the police find her no longer breathing, with a pillow over her face, they will think that you really really loved and admired her ;)
GT, we were at the NJ shore with the entire family (uncles, aunts, cousins, grandfather), where we would spend 2 weeks each summer. Those were fun times. Only thing is, who knew that it was a bad thing to keep kids in the sun all day, especially a redhead? My parents put Noxema on us for protection. Or baby oil. Yikes! I roasted day after day. ... Mom does have good bones though, doesn't she?
Thanks Doctor Mom! Good advice! I will take it under advisement. :) Positive news: I still have my hair even though she asked me both yesterday and today when I'm cutting it. She's nothing, if not persistent.

That's a great photo.
Wonderful photo, Zed.
beautiful family. and look at the little one with the screaming red hair. haha, a little cutie.
What a cutie. Go Zed.
I always did think screaming red hair.
Ok, not really.
I love the photo!!
You and your sister look like carbon copies of each other at different ages.
Thanks Sushiboy. When I look back on childhood photos, I never seemed to smile. Now that's all I ever do.
Amy, we're talking fire-engine red. Now it's more similar to butterscotch. Of course L'Oreal Preference or Excellence helps a lot.
GKL, we were very similar, though my sister had dark brown hair similar to my mother, and I had red hair, having taken after my father.
Oh, sorry, GKL, I forgot to mention that my sister died 3 years ago this month from breast cancer that traveled to her liver. She was great.
you have a beautiful looking family there, Zed.
were you adopted?
cause you're the only one with the red hair, it looks like.
Your mom was a beaut!
I love that picture. You were a cute kid!
Thanks for sharing Zed. You're a cutie.
Btw, I loved the posts about your mom.
Your mom was va v voom LOL!
You and your sister looks like twins in black and white. I know you must miss her *hug*

Zed, you have been on my heart this month too.
((Hugs)))

Good to know it is my job :)
I am getting my hair cut Saturday. Maybe now you won't have to before she leaves.
Just say I did it for you :)
Tmollie, don't let your daughters down! :)
I have only 3 days left to fight off the haircut. It might happen! I don't know how I did this, but I now officially consider myself a genius!
