Welcome to Italian Day!!
I'll supply the following for the Italian Day Party:
3 large trays of homemade manicotti and meatballs
3 large antipasto trays
A pot of sundried tomatos in olive oil with Italian bread on the side
The remains of Michelangelo
And spumoni!
That's Amore!
When the moon hits your eye like a big-a pizza pie, that's amore
When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine, that's amore
Bells'll ring, ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling and you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts'll play, tippi-tippi-tay, tippi-tippi-tay, like a gay tarantella
When the stars make you drool, joost-a like pasta fazool, that's amore
When you dance down the street with a cloud at your feet, you're in love
When you walk in a dream, but you know you're not dreamin', signore
'Scusami, but you see back in old Napoli, that's amore!

MMm howabout something with a little bite to it. Like Gorgonzola! Mmm blue cheese. I'm also bringing a live member of the mafia to extort everyone else out of the tasty dishes they are going to bring.
I will bring my Italian Greyhound, Jazzy Pinkfeet. (Yes I know its a good solid Italian name) amd season 1 of the Sopranos for our viewing pleasure.
MR fab, maybe Jazzy could have a Dean martin leg bone to chew on?
Mr. Fab stole my idea for Dean Martin, oh well.
I'm bringing the canoli and tiramasu.
Maybe I'll bring John Gotti. I have to dig up his body also but it should be a piece of cake. I think he's buried here in Jersey anyway.
Sounds good sushiboy! haha! The mafia guy might know my cousin Rocky.
Finally a day for my people
ITALIAN DAY
there are 2 kinds
of people in this world
1. Italians
2. Those who wish they were Italian
Jen, I think you're right.
long live Italian FOOD!!!
Mr. Fab, I can smell Dean already! Yummy!
Mel, I've been trying to post to your site for days and it won't let me. I'm so bummed!
Anyway, Jazzy Pinkfeet, bring her. We'll just boil her up!
You've got THAT right, Jen! We rule!
I'll bring some sausage ravioli and fried calamari.
Fabulous nobody!
And if anyone can bring chicken francese that would be great!!
i can bring the chicken francese--but doesn't "francese" mean "French"? whatch thinkin' zed? :)
Oh. Right. Well I guess the extreme pressure of the RCDS competition with Mr. Fab, the guest posting at Jen's and the hosting of ITALIAN DAY has just been too much for me... I just can't take it anymore!! Too much pressure!!
Sorry. Can anyone bring chicken parmagiana? (BETTER jane? hrumpf!) haHA!
thank you, zed. Hahaaaaa! I'll bring the chicken parmagiana and zepoli (or however you spell it)
take a pill! LOL
I want some baked ziti so I'll bring some of that too.
Oh yum! Another good thing, Teri!
I like chicken christina as well--chicken coated in parmesan cheese instead of bread crumbs, and then served in a franchese sauce. The best!!
There's nothing left for me to bring!!! Wait, how about the remains of Benito Musselino. Which reminds me, does anyone like mussels?
I'm not a big mussel fan myself Marzi, but I'm sure someone else is. Bring 'em!
I am bummed too you cant post on my site! I wonder why? I have not gone to beta yet.
ACK we cant boil Jazzy Pinkfeet! maybe I will just bring a nice manacotti.
Honest, Mel, I tried at least 4 times and finally gave up. As soon as Blogger gets its act together, I'm there. :)
Yes, Mel, another tray of manicotti sounds good!
blogmad hit
I love manicotti!!!
YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm bringing the Antipasto Salad... I would like a tall dark and handsome Italian boy to massage my feet at night. I would like another to whisper sweet nothings in my ear... and another just to look at.
I would like to float down the river in Venice in one of those fancy boats and have a tall dark Italian boy rubbing my shoulders... speaking in Italian so I don't understand a single word that he says!
That's it??? Italian Day is over just like that??
Well... kinda disappointing like... well, you know... sometimes it's just over in 30 seconds and you wonder what you missed.
Doctor Mom, if you had gotten here a bit earlier you'd have had a shot at the antipasto and tiramisu.
Later-comers must suffer. :)
