The orange velour couch reminds me of of my mother's couch from the seventies. Depending on where you sat on it, the velour would be appear to change color. So it actually always looked dirty. It was hee-haw ugly, and that's not a good thing.

You know, if I was going to own the orange velour couch I'd paint the walls that same exact blue color--NOT!

Ergh, I just about lost my lunch. I'll have to say the ugliest was the thing on the royal couch. (boy I hope I didn't just insult somone) I love the cinderblock propping up one side of the Royal wannabe as well. It really sets off the woodwork.

I agree, SushiBoy. The cinder block is an unusual addition to Victorian style. :)

(I didn't even see it originally. You have supersonic eyesight!)

Yes, considering my royal manner and lack of background, I think the Royal Wannabe couch is a perfect fit for my living room. One is currently on order, cinderblock "leg" and all.

Floral velvet looks like one that was in a furnished apt. I once rented.

I was quite lovely then I'm sure, Mollie ... well, not really. Floral and velvet don't do it for me.

Thanks for the shameless post Fancy Zed!

I'm a little embarrassed now cuz that was a little beyond shameless.

One might call it a little proselytizing.

Zed's the best!

My parents current couch (the same one they bought maybe when we moved to AZ although quite possibly before that so at a minimum it is 28 years old) has the same pattern as the velvet floral. Unfortunately it isn't as soft as velvet. It is more like itchy floral

Joanne, I'm so sorry for any damage that you might have been suffered from having to grow up in the presence of the floral velvet couch. And the fact that it wasn't even velvet makes it all just so much worse.

I send you my sympathy. Hugs.
