The World According to Zed's Official Seal
I saw this idea of a seal at Chris' Some Guy's Blog site and decided to make one of my own. So apropos I think.
Okay, I'm heading to the kitchen now to make dinner and--are you ready?--a Food Network recipe for yummy super-delicious Butter Cookies as part of my reward for returning to my blog (I'll use any excuse to make these cookies--they are that good).
Too bad you're not currently in the tri-state. We could share...

I'm outside in your yard. Give me cookies.
No. They're all mine.
Oh, okay. But just two; one for you, one for Alexander.
Isn't he ever going to get over his shyness?
I think he wants the weather to be a bit warmer. Did you also get some cold yesterday? I had to put the duvet back on the bed, and I guess I don't blame Alexander for wanting to stay inside where it's warm...
;)
See how smart he is, and he's not even out of the womb yet!
Have another cookie.
It's purr-fect!
Wow, was that bad! Even I'm ashamed of that one.
Can you send me some? :)
take a picture
of the cookies..
it's kinda like sharing
That was bad, Chris. Meow.
Shelli, I made 1/2 batch, 12 cookies, and I gave 4 to Tanya and Alexander, ate 4 (bad!) myself, and gave two neighbors 4. They're all gone--they're that good. But NEXT batch, you're first in line. :) (Hey, I missed seeing you around! Thanks for stopping by!)
Hey Jen, I'll take a picture next time. This time? They're all gone. :( Oh, wait, I mean :) ...
They were great.
Big mistake mentioning the cookies.
... at least post the recipe.
Okay Dick, here you go (yum):
Food Network Basic Butter Cookies Recipe
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (sometimes I switch out the vanilla extract for pure lemon extract)
Bake cookies at 350-375 degrees, until edges are golden, 12 to 15 minutes total.
ZED'S WARNING: These cookies will absolutely, positively give you a fatal heart attack if eaten with any sort of regularity whatsoever.
Was Lost; Now Found.
Was Gimped; Now Walking Free.
Yep, that's what they called me: Gimpy. Well, not to my face anyway. :)
The legs are doing so well, Sushiboy. (Thank you Lord!) I'm now a total non-gimp--still wimpy, but not a gimp. Woo-hoo!
Thanks!
That's a prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect seal for you Fancy Zed!
Thanks Doctor Mom. I think so too!
