Starsky & Hutch said I could borrow their car so I'll be right over with Huggy Bear and some coke.
The first time I remember Mr T was 1982.
Since the 70's was MY decade ( I graduated from High school in 1978) I am going to wear my prom dress, and listen to Stairway to heaven over and over and over....
Donna Summer said she would come, and the whole cast of the movie Grease! Back off Biatches, Young John Travolta is mine!!! All mine!!! But when he discovers scientology you can have him.
alright, I'm bringing Donny and Marie, my metal lunch box and my easy bake oven. I'm also bringing a lava lamp and some cool beads to hang from Zed's front door.
I'm bringing the folks from Laverne & Shirley and Happy Days.

I thought Mr. T and the Rubik's Cube were 80's. They were so popular when I was in school.
However, I will be rolling over this disco ball and did Donna Summers call yet?
Oh, and don't forget:
It's fun to stay at the Y - M - C - A!
Looks like I'm going to have to replace that photo of Mr. T on the opening page with Starsky & Hutch (thanks Dale!). Nobody, though sick since Saturday, is obviously feeling better. pfft. haha!
Mel, I'm sure you're lovely in your prom dress...what color? style?
Teri, I love the young Donny and Marie. It's the older versions I'm not thrilled with. Didn't she have scarey plastic surgery that left her looking like a horse?
Rubik's cube was invented in 1974. But Nobody's right about Mr. T. He's from 1982 ... so picky... lol.
I'm changing Mr. T's photo to Starsky and Hutch.
wasn't the mod squad in the 1970s? ah those were the days... lol
Sorry about that Mr T thing. And I do seem to recall teh rubiks craze was in the early 80's, but I wasn't sure if it was then or the very late 70's, its all such a blur to me.
Thanks for making me get an ABBA song stuck in my head. Stupid Dancing Queen.
I brought my Bay City Rollers Greatest Hits album.
SATURDAY night!
SATURDAY night!
Wha? The Rubik cube was born a year after I was?
It really took a while to take off, didn't it?
Rubik's Cube or (informally) Rubix Cube is a mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by the Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik....Originally called the Magic Cube by its inventor, it was renamed Rubik's Cube in 1980 and released worldwide in May of that year, winning a Spiel des Jahres special award for Best Puzzle. It is said to be the world's best-selling toy, with some 300,000,000 Rubik's Cubes and imitations sold worldwide.

I just don't believe my eyes....:-o
I'm going to bring Marcia Brady, my first television crush. And some Fresca.
I'm brought Ponch from "CHips"
and some sanka
Lynda, notice Rubik's Cube was invented in 1974. I'm going with it. haha!
I brought my Lite Brite, to make all kinds of crazy designs.
And Colecovision.
I'm bringing myself and Superwoman, we were both born in '77. I think its cool I was brought into the world the same year as star wars. (and the year Elvis left us)
For Teena's benefit I combed the whole of Scotland and found the remaining members of the Bay City Rollers! I brought them along along with The Sweet, Procul Harum and Slade. I've also invited Detectives Frank Cannon & Lt. Columbo to investigate any crimes and QUINCY, M.E. to perform any autopsies. I may get creative later on!!
I need to tone down the alcohol consumption so I've only brought six tankers of Vodka. I have my team of personal staff standing by at Amex to deliver your mixer of choice. I'm wearing my full seventies disco gear of white suit, purple lurex shirt and platform shoes, And I intend to Par-tay!!!
Sans, love the purple lurex shirt--are you wear striped purple pants as well? And a hat? Hats were b-i-g in the 1970s. With feathers and glitter and ribbons! What an image!
We have such great music now, between Donna Summer, Donny and Marie (well, not so great), Pink Floyd, Abba (haha!), Bay City Rollers, etc. etc.
And maybe we'll do an Elvis song in memorial--thanks for reminding me he died in 77 sushiboy! Have one in mind anyone?
Thanks for throwin' this great 70s party Zed. I'm sorry I'm dead.
But .. . maybe I can sing a song later? How about "Don't Be Cruel?"
Anyone surprised that Robin Williams of Mork and Mindy just went through intensive rehab? Anyone? Anyone at all? He should have been in rehab for the last 30 years...
I love Elvis's rendition of "Don't Be Cruel"--I was never a fan, but honestly that man can sing.
I cant remember what my prom dress looked like!!!!! ACK! Oh well I do remember my disco dress, it was black and strappy with a flared skirt for my disco action!
Where is Tony Manero??
Favorite Saturday night Fever quote
"Would ya just watch the hair. Ya know, I spend a long time on my hair and he hit it; he hit my hair"
OH and
"You make it with some of these chicks, they think you gotta dance with them.
I am getting my boogie on!!
I'm bringing all the crazy people from Studio 54 and some of the folks out on the street waiting to get (but never will) into Studio 54.
I'm bringing a Jello mold—one with pineapple, carrots and celery suspended in it. Lime Jello of course.
I have just snapped a picture of Mr. Fabulous in his powder blue tuxedo here.
My, he is a handsome devil!
Sans you're a genius! I'm posting it on the title page of this post! Thanks so much!
and by the face he's making it's obvious he hung around Elvis for too long........
Hey, Elvis is still singing. Here are the words so you can sing along Teri:
DON'T BE CRUEL
You know I can be found,
Sitting home all alone,
If you cant come around,
At least please telephone.
Dont be cruel to a heart thats true.
Baby, if I made you mad
For something I might have said,
Please, lets forget the past,
The future looks bright ahead,
Dont be cruel to a heart thats true.
I dont want no other love,
Baby its just you Im thinking of.
Dont stop thinking of me,
Dont make me feel this way,
Come on over here and love me,
You know what I want you to say.
Dont be cruel to a heart thats true.
Why should we be apart?
I really love you baby, cross my heart.
Lets walk up to the preacher
And let us say I do,
Then youll know youll have me,
And Ill know that Ill have you,
Dont be cruel to a heart thats true.
I dont want no other love,
Baby its just you Im thinking of.
Dont be cruel to a heart thats true.
Dont be cruel to a heart thats true.
I dont want no other love,
Baby its just you Im thinking of.
Priscilla? Has anyone seen Priscilla?
Priscilla was actually making out with Fab in the corner, sorry Elvis baby!
Can you sing Love Me Tender?
swoosh swoosh swosh
the sound of flared pants
Supper dooper long false eye lashes...
Boob tube top...
Dick, you look great!
looking at that list of albums. Yeah that was the last time Paul McCartney released something good.
Lynyrd Skynyrd "Sweet Home Alabama" (1974)
"Freebird"
YEAH!!!!
Love Me Tender lyrics Mr. Fab. Go for it!
Love me tender,
Love me sweet,
Never let me go.
You have made my life complete,
And I love you so.
Love me tender,
Love me true,
All my dreams fulfilled.
For my darlin I love you,
And I always will.
Love me tender,
Love me long,
Take me to your heart.
For its there that I belong,
And well never part.
Love me tender,
Love me dear,
Tell me you are mine.
Ill be yours through all the years,
Till the end of time.
(when at last my dreams come true
Darling this I know
Happiness will follow you
Everywhere you go)
Superduper long lashes--you reminded me of Twiggy, Scarlet. She was 70s, wasn't she? I think she was 70s AND 80s.
Poor Paul McCartney, it's been all downhill for him, hasn't it?
(Singing...)
Love me tender, love me true ...
Has anyone seen Priscilla? Is she still making out with Fab? Sniff...
?Pixie?--thanks for bringing the LIME Jello! We're out...can you make another batch. Thanks.
Priscilla?
I was supporting both our points. ;)
Back to the dance floor!!! Where's Mr. Fab?
Yeah, yeah, likely story Lynda. LOL
You and Mr. Fab look fabulous doing the ... the ... what is that dance you're doing?
Am I too late? It took me a while to get here on my Banana seat bike! I think I might roller skate home - might be faster. Do you like my bell bottom cords? And my Ty dyed T Shirt, big hoop earrings, blue eye shadow and massive eye lashes? I pulled out my old curling iron and curled my bangs in big flips! Cool baby.
I brought Richard Pryor over to entertain us, Jack Tripper from Three's company, The Bee Gee's!!!! The Bay City Rollers Keepfollowing me! The Partridge family came too. CCR will be here soon, and so will Marvin Gaye. Gloria Gaynor might come and sing I will survive for us too.
I don't see too much to drink here. I brought some Kool-Aid and the mix for Harvey WallBangers. Mmmm (Vodka, Galliano, and Orange Juice). Yum.
OMG Disco Duck is playin' I gotta Dance!
Tricia, most people have gone home already, but Elvis is still here... He just keeps singing and singing, even though he's dead.
Here he is singing "Hound Dog"
HOUND DOG
You ain't nothin' but a hound dog
cryin' all the time.
You ain't nothin' but a hound dog
cryin' all the time.
Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit
and you ain't no friend of mine.
When they said you was high classed,
well, that was just a lie.
When they said you was high classed,
well, that was just a lie.
You ain't never caught a rabbit
and you ain't no friend of mine.
Go to the link. You will see....
