We'll All Be Sitting in the Dark Soon
Wow. There are an awful lot of lights on this house. It's beautiful, but goodness, all that wasted energy. Yeah, I know, bah humbug, and all that. All I can say is, it's no wonder we're running out of energy in this country.
Enjoy, even if we'll all be sitting in the dark soon.

I once wrote a paper on LED lighting entitled "The Power and the Promise." I still believe that. I do agree that this example is wasteful of energy, but nowhere near as wasteful as ironing, which is my energy bugbear.
From this you can ascertain that I am unkempt, scruffy and sartorially inelegant. And you would be correct. My appearance won't matter once we are all sitting in the dark though. :¬)
But, we'll have flashlights. :)
I don't iron any more. I buy natural materials such as cotton, take clothing out of the dryer immediately (oh, no, I use a dryer!!), and get most of the wrinkles out by passing my hands over the fabric while it's still warm, and then use Febreeze spray or Downy's wrinkle remover to get out the remaining wrinkles (you sort of have to grab the fabric and snap it mid-air), and I'm set to go.
You have Febreeze spray or Downy's wrinkle remover in one of my favorite countries of the world, Sans?? If you get one of these two sprays, you won't be sitting in the dark in unkempt scruffiness. I promise. How are you going to become an incredibly rich and famous artist if you look all scruffy? Huh? Huh? :)
I do love you Zed!
We have Febreeze, but I haven't heard of Downy's. I tend to wear linen, and that allows me an excuse to be crumpled.
A little early, but Happy Birthday Zed! I hope you have a great day.
Sans, Downy's Wrinkle Releaser is good, but Febreeze smells better.
As for linen, I have tons of it but I always look so messy in it. Looks like I haven't slept well in days. Which brings us back to ... Febreeze! :)
Thanks for the b-day wishes. I'm having a party thrown for me this evening. I need to go find my b-day hat! lol
could you turn off those lights on your post tonight, zed? hubbie and I need some sleep tonight.
happy belated b-day!
This speaks volumes about my state of domestic wilderness - but are you saying there is a spray to rid clothes of wrinkles? Really?? Why have I not known this? Why didn't they tell me?

Gifted Typist you have been indoors way too much in the last 10 years or so. C'mon out! Downy Wrinkle remover, by, er, Downy, works by taking clothing (cotton please) out of the dryer quickly (don't let it sit), then spraying the fabric with the wrinkle remover and snapping it mid-air to get excess spray as well as wrinkles out.
Not everyone loves it, but it works for me! I've spared myself and others hours and hours of ironing.
I think I should either receive a large cash donation for this information OR a crown. Either one would be fine. (Money is always good, however.)
